Metals



Students in Metalsmithing develop strong technical and conceptual skills within the framework of fine art studio practice. The Metalsmithing program offers students strong technical instruction and understanding in all areas of the craft including, fabrication, casting, forging, raising, enameling as well as specific techniques related to both Jewelry making and Metalsmithing practice. Students are encouraged to develop their individual visual language within the medium through exposure to and understanding of Metalwork within contemporary art and social and historic context.
