New Media

The New Media program creates an environment in which students can apply sophisticated technical art skills to the creation of culturally relevant artwork. To accomplish this, the New Media concentration will provide University of Toledo fine arts students with a unique, comprehensive and vital curriculum exploring technology, art history, contemporary art theories and issues, and professional artistic practices within a fine arts setting.

Technology is in a constant state of flux and the New Media program is committed to remaining current and flexible, accommodating change while giving the students the experiences that they will need to succeed after graduation.

Conceptually, technology is bound to contemporary culture and the New Media program is dedicated to the idea that students become active participants in the larger art world.
