Department of Foreign Languages : The MBA with a Concentration in International Business

Before beginning the masterÂ’s portion of the program, students must submit an official application for admission to the Graduate School and MBA program and meet all entrance requirements.

MBA Core Courses

Program of Study for Students in the BA/MBA Program

Students who completed the minor in Business as described above will have fulfilled all of the Basic Core requirements for the MBA with a concentration in International Business. Any 5000-level requirements not already met must be completed before 6000-level course work can begin.

The BA/MBA program is possible but challenging to complete in five years. However, due to possible conflicts it is more reasonable to complete the MBA program in one calendar year. After satisfying the eight core required courses as well as the three International Business electives a student will graduate from the MBA program.

Fall Semester

If students have completed or had waived all 5000-level courses for the MBA based on their undergraduate course work, they take 15 hours by selecting 5 courses from the following MBA core courses:

• BUAD 6200 Financial Systems
• BUAD 6300 Strategic Marketing & Analysis
• BUAD 6400 Results-Based Management
• BUAD 6500 International Business
• BUAD 6600 Supply Chain Management

  A maximum of six semester credit hours in an approved Study Abroad Program (IBUS 6100), Independent Study/Research, or Special Topics may be used for the specialization as approved by an international business faculty member
