Programs of Study in Music

The Department of Music at the University of Toledo offers a wide variety of musical opportunities to both students and the University community as a whole. The Department offers areas of study in general music, music performance, music history and music theory. Faculty in the Music Department work in cooperation with the College of Education to provide a field of study in Music Education. The Music Department also contributes an important element to a well-rounded liberal arts program by offering classes like Music Appreciation and Jazz History every semester. MUSIC EDUCATION

Bachelor of Education, for teaching licensure in instrumental, vocal or general music.

General Studies Core requirement of 30-33 credits

MUSIC PERFORMANCE

Bachelor of Music, for performance in an orchestral instrument, voice, keyboard or guitar.
