Kelli received the Ph.D. in Humanities from the University of Texas at Dallas and the M.A. in English from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Although she is currently teaching cinema courses here at the University of Toledo, she has also offered several classes on Shakespeare. Kelli's latest research projects include an essay on the representation of technology in Pixar's animated films, a study of recent movies that end in musical numbers, and an in-depth look at the documentary Shakespeare Behind Bars (2006).
Kelli teaches Introduction to Film, Introduction to Film (Distance Learning), Critical Approaches to Cinema, and Cinema History.
