Message from Interim Dean Traband
The completion of the $17.4 million renovation of our building enables us to continue to offer the highest quality programs with superior academics and discovery. The 160,000-square-foot structure houses seven CHSHS departments and the National Center for Parents along with 17 mediated classrooms using Starboard technology, multiple specialty research laboratories, and two high-tech computer labs for CHSHS students. The all-wireless building provides an environment that enhances teaching, faculty/student interaction, services for the community, and research data collection. The funding for this project was allocated from the state's capital improvement budget so no student tuition dollars or general fee dollars or state subsidy (state share of instruction) funds were expended on this project.
The new facility presents a unified delivery for important pro-bono functions of the CHSHS Community Clinic where areas of expanded research include: substance abuse, domestic violence, family counseling, and rehabilitation of the elderly as well as parental involvement in raising children. Our CHSHS faculty will continue
to conduct research in respiratory care, asthma treatment and education, diabetes prevention, acute injury, and muscle cell data collection for exercise science.

As our research capacity continues to grow, so does our enrollment and the opportunity to impact the lives of our students. You can make a difference with a gift to the Health Science and Human Service Excellence Fund. Your support is crucial to the educational success of our talented students.
Your gift to the College of Health Science and Human Service not only impacts the lives of our students but also demonstrates your belief in the mission of our college. Last year alone, nearly 70 percent of our incoming freshman class received scholarships due to the generosity of our alumni and friends.
To enable our students to achieve the highest level of success, please click on the link to the UT Foundation, https://utssl.utoledo.edu/utfoundation/giftproc.asp
and make your gift today. The amount of your gift, whether $500, $100, $50, or any amount you feel comfortable with, is not nearly as important as the fact that you supported our efforts. Thank you for your special consideration.
If you would like to learn more about the number of different ways you can help support CHSHS, please contact Sandy Snyder, Director of Development for the College of Health Science and Human Service,
