Submit your application to the Office of International Undergraduate Admissions for undergraduate admission or to the Graduate School for graduate admission. Pay the application fee and provide your academic records from both home and from any study within the United States. You must also submit financial documentation from your means of support demonstrating a sufficient source of funds for a minimum of the first academic year. You should have received a “Transfer Clearance” form with your application. Sign the form and take it to your current school’s International Services Office giving them permission to verify your present immigration status and to then return the form to the University of Toledo (U.T.) Office of International Student Services.
Step #2:
When accepted to U.T., you will receive an official notification of acceptance. At this time, you should go to your current school’s International Services Office and notify the Designated School Official (DSO) that you intend to transfer to the University of Toledo and when. The DSO will access your SEVIS (Immigration Service electronic report system) record and indicate that you are a “Transfer Out” specifically to U.T. The DSO will also enter a release date that is usually the end of the present academic term.
Step #3:
After the indicated release date, you will report to the University of Toledo’s Office of International Student Services. The DSO will now have access to your SEVIS record and will print a SEVIS “Transfer In” I-20. You and the DSO will sign the I-20 that will then be given to you completing the transfer procedure.
