Board hears reports on strategic initiatives
Dr. Rosemary Haggett, Main Campus provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, outlined efforts to re-engineer the undergraduate experience and formally introduced The University of Toledo Learning Collaborative (UTLC). According to Dr. Haggett, the UTLC leverages existing resources to create a portal of entry and will help students receive specialized services to assist in their academic success. On April 22, 2008, the Main Campus Faculty Senate accepted a recommendation from the Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee to encourage faculty who are teaching general education courses to assign a midterm grade to those students who are earning a C+ or lower. Additional Information
