The Office of Student Involvement at The University of Toledo is committed to student involvement on UT’s campus and in the community. Located in the Student Union, the office provides quality programs, services, and leadership opportunities that enrich students’ academic endeavors as well as oversees the areas of Commuter Students and Off Campus Services, Greek Life, Student Activities and Leadership, and Student Judicial Affairs. The Office of Student Involvement also partners with different organizations throughout the University to create a campus that is informed and involved.

Commuter Student Services and Off-Campus Services
The Office of Commuter Student and Off-Campus Services provide support through programming and a variety of resources for UT commuter students.  Students may pick up the latest listing of rental housing off-campus (apartments, houses, duplexes, rooms in private homes) plus numerous brochures to help with the rental process.  We publish a periodic newsletter and present several programs each semester spotlighting issues of interest to commuter students.  Students may use telephones for free local calls, plus store their lunch in our refrigerator and heat it up in the microwave, or use our bagel toaster.  

Greek Life
UT is proud to be home to seventeen fraternities and twelve sororities.  These chapters represent proud local and international heritages, and contribute importantly to campus life at the University.  In turn, the chapters receive assistance from the University through programming, advising, and personal support.  Nationally, Greeks are more likely to stay in college and tend to participate more in campus activities than any other students.  Greeks tend to be more financially successful and to give more to their alma maters.  In short, Greek Life is simply a better way of life. 

Student Activities and Leadership
The Student Activities and Leadership area oversees many university wide events including New Student Convocation, First Week UT, Parents and Family Weekend, Homecoming, Student Activities Fairs, Songfest, Dance Marathon, Alumni Leadership Series, World Aids Day, Adopt a Family and First Read. In addition to these traditional programs, the student activities and leadership area is also responsible for bringing many speakers and other programs to campus. Occasionally, we will coordinate bus trips to area sports arenas. This area is also responsible for the development and coordination of the Levis Leadership UT four year scholarship program and the Emerging Leaders program.
